A recent survey by Data for Progress finds that 65% of voters support a national health insurance program that would cover all Americans, this includes 78% of Democrats, 71% of Independents and 49% of Republicans..

Tom has been an advocate for increasing funding and staffing for the Veterans Healthcare System for decades. But under the ruse of helping veterans living in rural areas of the country big pharma and its allies in the healthcare industry have convinced Congress to outsource veterans healthcare to the private sector. The percentage of outsourcing for 2026 is increasing by 50% while the VA's funding is decreasing by 17%. Thus ensuring that the VA is continually underfunded and understaffed. It's simply a backdoor approach to priviatizing the entire VA.
